A-Z Bookish Survey

Recently, I came across a wonderful post and I instantly fell in love with the idea. Saloni from Books And Stars had taken this amazing survey related to books called A-Z Survey and I thought, “Why not give it a try myself!” It was such a great fun and an enlightening experience for myself.

Without further ado, let the fun begin:

Author you’ve read the most books from:

Nora Roberts

Best Sequel Ever:

Can only think of one right now (I’m not counting whole series of novels). It will be CAN LOVE HAPPEN TWICE by Ravinder Singh .

Currently Reading:

ZOYA by Danielle Steele

Dri ank of Choice While Reading:

Aaahh…ummm.. Nothing I guess. When I start reading, I get completely lost in the book and thus don’t feel any human needs or desires.

E–reader or Physical Book?

Duh! Definitely physical books… I just love the feel of book in my hand and that sound when you flick a page… and oh! that old book smell…

Although I do have to agree that e-books have their own advantages.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

Ned Nickerson (NANCY DREW Series) or Frank Hardy(HARDY BOYS Series) probably as I used to read them a lot when I was young. Even though I’m in love with so many literary characters but I just can’t imagine myself with anyone else in high school.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

TABLE FOR FIVE by Susan Wiggs. (Will be doing it’s review soon)

Hidden Gem Book:

FINDING LAURA by Kay Hooper

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

When I started reading I guess.

Just Finished:

ON THE STREET WHERE YOU LIVE by Mary Higgins Clark (Re-reading).

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

Fanfics and self help guide maybe. Also, I’m not really into non-fiction.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX

Major book hangover because of:

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS (I just couldn’t get over all the revelations and the injustice done to Professor Snape.)

Although Order of Phoenix and Half Blood Prince are also quite close in the run for this title as I mourned Sirius’s and Dumbledore’s death for weeks.

Number of Bookcases You Own:

I don’t have book cases.. but I do have one whole room and one wall dedicated as library in my house.

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

Aah…hard to pick one.. I re-read every book that I like..there is HARRY POTTER of course, and then TWILIGHT SAGA. And just so many more. Can’t really pick one. Although I have read HP over 50-60 times. Memorized it actually.

Preferred Place To Read:

I always carry a book with me and start reading whenever I get  the chance. So answer will be Anywhere and everywhere

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.”

             -Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore

Reading Regret:

Haven’t read FAULT IN OUR STARS yet.

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

LORD OF THE RINGS and HOUSE OF NIGHT

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

Okay, so for this I’m excluding HP as it’s obviously on the top and I want to give other books a chance in this list 😂 So here they are in no particular order, they’re randomly listed:

• Any Nicholas Sparks book

•Finding Laura

•Twilight

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

HP… Always! ❣❣

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

My own book ! *Blush*

Worst Bookish Habit:

I tend to forget everything around me once I start reading a book.

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

SCARLETT FEATHER by Maeve Binchy

Your latest book purchase:

THE SPY by Dan Brown.

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

It will have to be HAlF BLOOD PRINCE which I finished overnight in just 3-4 hours and then cried for the rest of the night.

So…this is it.. let me know what you guys think about it, what are your thoughts, and would you like to to take this save yourself or not. Do let me know if you ever take any such survey.

Stay Blessed. Stay Healthy. Stay Loved and Loving.

  1. Loved reading your survey but would like to recommend some good writer to you which I am sure you must have heard but not took up to read. Writer like Mario Puzo, Orhan Pamuk and J M Cotzee have written some very good books which I think you must go through. And yes I regret missing out some good series like HP.

You should definitely read HP at least once and not rely on movie version for your opinion.. movies are only had if not less of the books.. thank you again for reading my post.. I’m glad you liked it 😊😊

  2. Ah! Lovely Survey. I haven’t read a lot of the books on that one and am definitely excited to give them a try.
And we have so much in common that I can’t believe it. From Nora Roberts to Danielle Steel to Mary Higgins Clark to Maeve Binchy to Dan Brown and then Twilight and Nancy Drew *I’ve read a lot of Nancy Drew books in High School* and HARRY POTTER! I’m so looking forward to read Finding Laura!! Loving your posts and eager for more!!

    1. Always ! How can anyone not like HP after he/she has read it ! And I have read all the Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie and almost all of Enid Blyton books but just couldn’t place anyone of them here in the survey.. there are just so many books that I have read and it would be practically impossible to list each n every one of it here.. but thanx a ton for recommending it to me.. I’ll love any more recommendations that you have.. 😊😊😊

  3. I didn’t do any survey. I mostly love to read non-fiction. I spend my most of the times reading natural science and psychology. I recommend you reading Pale Blue Dot. Do you think, it is boring? I have also read some good fiction, mostly Ernest Hemingway.
